Daytrippers enjoying the sun outside The Three Crowns, Rainham-On-Thames, 1921. This pub was a favourite destination of Eastenders seeking fun in the countryside since it was built in the 1830s. It was also made popular due to the Gravesend Ferry which used to dock here. The land on which the Pub stood, and the Pub itself were sadly swallowed up by the Murex factory complex in the 1960s. |
